FUN PHONICS COLLABORATION
Here’s some exciting news!
At the end of this month, we’re going to be working with Fun Phonics Spain as part of the Early Literacy Series. It’s a course for teachers and consists of seven sessions over seven weeks. The course is led by our mate Beki Wilson, phonics and literacy expert www.funphonicspain.com.
Also giving workshops are Jolly Learning author Sara Wernham, who will be developing early-years literacy through phonics-based activities. Pedro Izuzquiza will be exploring movement and music.
The course will focus on four main areas:
- Developing emerging language skills (vocabulary and comprehension).
- Physical development.
- Social and emotional development.
- Creative and imaginative play using a variety of teaching aids and techniques.
I’ll be doing two sessions which will cover different types of puppets you can use in the early-years classroom. We’ll also look at:
- Puppet manipulation and voice.
- Introducing your puppet.
- Lots of ideas on how to exploit your puppet
Participants:
The workshops are aimed at Pre-school and Early Primary stage educators in ESL-settings.
Duration: 7 weeks (one session a week)
Dates: Every Tuesday evening beginning on Tuesday 16th March and ending on Tuesday 27th April 2021.
Time: 19:00 to 20:00 (Spain/CET)
Format: Via Zoom.
Cost: 40.00 euros per person.
